Guesting in someone after you leave the lounge?

I have 3 guest passes on my account (Im VA SG) that I am unlikely to use. I am flying out of MEL tomorrow night on VA in J, and have 2 friends flying out also Virgin Y a few hours later. They will likely arrive at the airport either just as Im boarding, or more likely just after.

I know I can guest them in using my guest passes if they are with me, but do you think if I ask nicely they can deduct the passes from my account as I leave for boarding and allow them access when they arrive, if it's say 30 minutes later? (I would sms them to say ' ask for xx_ on the desk - I have advised her' etc)

I would probably just tell your friends to get to the airport earlier. Surely they would do so if it means they get lounge access they may never have experienced before?
