Hi All,

Before I set out on the painful task of gathering all of the information myself, I thought I would reach out to the community to see if perhaps the information I am looking for has already been documented somewhere....

To provide some context, I collect points for airline redemption via a Visa CC, Mastercard CC, and Amex CC. The Visa and Mastercard both have the same airlines available for point transfers, however, I noticed that the rate on some are slightly different (i.e. same airline, but 2:1 vs 3:1). The Amex then has a bunch of other airlines too at various transfer rates.

For many years now I have solely used KrisFlyer for all of our points travel, as it seemed reasonably good value with great availability when booking in advance. This does not seem to be the case anymore (with the value...availability is still there).

I thought it would be very useful to have a table that breakdowns the rates for transfer from CC to Airline Points, but then also showed how many points are then required to book equivalent distance trips with the airlines. Then lastly, the taxes seem to vary a fair bit, making the value of the redemption booking change too.

Generally we are booking either 2 or 4 seats in Biz Class, which I also know may not be easy across all airlines.

Lastly, would be great to get some direction on crafty ways of transferring from airline to airline to perhaps get points to favourable airlines that may not otherwise be available for direct transfer from the C/C.

Hopefully this all makes sense, and somewhere online this information is available to consume without having to sift through endless websites to compile it. (Fingers crossed!)

Thanks if you have taken the time to read, and thanks in advance if you have any info to offer!

There's a heck of a lot of airport combinations in the world you can go to and from, not to mention some airlines use distance based pricing, some use region based pricing and some use dynamic pricing. Does anyone have the time to put all of that in one place without charging for it?

Taxes change all the time often without notice. I haven't seen anyone who has the patience and incentive to maintain a database and more importantly keep it up to date.
