They've sold more than 1 million bottles of OJ and 2 million of water-no wonder BB says they make more money from catering than they do on seat sales.
Cheers

Has anybody spotted the error in one of their facts? I just told Jetstar about it and they are in the process of correcting it.

I'll upload the fixed version once somebody spots it!

Is it that 100 flights each day for 18 years isn't actually 660k flights?

There are two facts within the image itself that disagree with each other.

You'll be wondering how you missed/wasted so much time trying to find it once I tell you. :D

Oh hang on. It could be the employee one. I'd call 350 to 7000 staff a 1000% increase. Because 350 to 700 is an increase of 100%. Times by 10 gives a 1000% increase.

Ehhhh. Nope.

This is more fun that I thought!

Hold up... Thats not the error I saw, don't tell me there is more than one!

I certainly am! lol Guess that's what happens when you're bored on a train..

One more go: 65k safety demos and 660k flights. Shouldn't they match?

We have a winner!

If there is 660,000 flights, there should also be 660,000 safety demonstrations. Either they got it wrong or have been breaking CASA rules for years!!

This is more like it:

Yay! Do I get a prize? :D

Yes you do. Two prizes actually:

1. The satisfaction of knowing you were the second person to pick up this error on AFF.
2. Next time I run into you in the Qantas Club/Virgin Lounge, dinner is on me.

Wow has it been that long? I still remember that cold MEL morning being the first pax to check in at AVV not long after they started flying. I won a free ride in Lindsay Fox's Chopper, which I never got around to taking unfortunately. They said the offer would not expire, but I would feel terribly rude ringing and saying 'yo! Remember me?'

I did get to meet Alan Joyce though when he was a mere head of JQ not QF.

Maybe only doing 65,000 safety demonstrations in 660,000 flights is telling us something:shock:

Is this the only time when somebody would celebrate the growth of a cancer for 7 years?

I'd like to see stats on number of staff, equipment and routes "assimilated" from mainline QF in 7 years (at no cost!) :p

Also:

0 (zero) unacompanied minors

759 million Kg of baggage that somehow escaped "excess baggage" fees

100 milllion people in the Phillippines JQ call centres due to staff turnover?

I'd double check my accounting method first because my method could be technically wrong, but I reckon the staff increase is another error.

The problem is that 350 = 100%. Whereas 10 x 700 being 1000% assumes 700 = 100%.

The increase is 6650. That is 19 x 350 => 1900%. Close enough for government work. Shame they're not the government. Or god thing maybe.

Or we can count actually percentage increases as 100% being every doubling:
700 - 100%
1400 - 200%
2800 - 300%
5600 - 400%
7000 - 425%

But that doesn't compare to a base of 350.
