I am doing a BIZ Class ATW next year. I will be flying Air Canada, Lufthansa Swiss and Thai.

If my future travels will be largely focused on Thailand in years to come - just wondering how, and to where, I should harvest then warehouse any FF points I get from my little jaunt please?

Should I, for example, look at trying to store them in Virgin Australia and then (if I can) use then to fly Thai Airways in Biz or P/Econ (if available), or perhaps store them in VA, but then transfer them to SQ and then get to BKK via SIN ?

Any ideas would be most appreciated as always............. :)

You might put them somewhere like Avianca Lifemiles. You can redeem through there for flights on Thai. The huge advantage with Lifemiles is that you only need 40% of the base miles to redeem an award and you can top up with cash for the balance.

A full return business class via lifemiles (buying all the miles outright from scratch) is around AUD1700 including taxes, so if you have accrued your base 40% (32,000 miles) that brings the additional cash component to around $1000.

Full earning details here and looks like your lufthansa flights will earn at least 175% of actual miles flown: https://www.lifemiles.com/eng/use/par/parairparall.aspx
