Just interested in knowing if anyone has gifted their own lounge access to someone else?
Specifically im thinking of gifting my access to the amex / plaza premium lounge in Sydney international to some colleagues while I go to QF with others.

In HKG my aunt has used her multiple access card to get me into the plaza premium lounge before she goes to the CX lounge. Just interested to know experience in Sydney.

If it makes any difference i have a CX elite amex and ANZ black amex both give access to plaza premium / amex lounge.

Yes. I've checked two people into the Amex lounge then went to the QF First lounge myself with another. I get two Amex visits per year with my card, and they let me use both at the same time, and not for me.

Interesting to know that this is allowed. Would the QF lounge (for example) also allow you to do this?

If you guested someone into the QF lounge then you left, I'm can't see how your guest would have any problems? Unless perhaps there is a clause that specifically says the guest must be accompanied by the member at all times.

I leave my parents in the ADL QF lounge quite frequently, it's only the cost of carparking that eventually dislodges them I think :)

I've always been curious about this. Has anyone ever tried guesting someone into Syd Int QF J lounge and then taking yourself and another guest up to F lounge? I've always assumed that when the attendant scans your boarding pass they'd realise what was going on

I believe the rule is when you leave the guest should too - after all the thinking is that you're on the same flight and travelling together.
In a non airline lounge (plaza premium,Amex etc) they generate $ through non air means and shouldn't care if you leave. I've in the pay very blatantly guested someone in on PP and Amex plat and left straight away in front of the reception staff.

I have guested my wife into the HKG lounges a number of times. Not once was her boarding pass scanned. In fact my boarding pass is usually only ever scanned once and they put a stamp on there that you have entered the lounge. Next time you enter they see the stamp and let you enter.

Unethical to do what you suggest? Couldn't care less and would not hesitate to try it on.
