Hi folks,

I'm looking for a MEL-LON return for the Mrs around 21/4 - 7/5.

A search via SkyScanner showed up a very good price of $1483 on MH via the website skytours.org. The price for the same flights via the MH website is $1820.

Has anyone used this website before? Any idea why the flights are so much cheaper?

Thanks for your feedback!

re: Has anyone used "Skytours" before?

I just did a search in my GDS and came up with $1890.60 for those dates in S Class.

Given that the taxes are $697.60 on that route, that would give them a gross fare of $785.40 which I find really hard to believe anyone would have.

I know MH do offer route specific deals to agents who specialise and therefore put most of their business through to one destination (such as the asian travel agents), but even that seems too cheap.

I've never heard of them myself so can't comment, but given they're not an Australian agent, I find it incredibly hard to believe it's legit, and aside from the fact they're inappropriately using a .org domain name so probably wont be around on that domain name for long, I wouldn't be risking $1400 on an overseas website like that.

Happy to be proven wrong, but there's no way they'd be getting my credit card details.

Let me know how you get on.

They have been around since 1973 based in Germany, and were heavily involved with Laker at its inception, they are not using the .org illegally, each country has its own rules for domain registration and the top level use of .org is not restricted to non profit organisations. They have had the .org website for 10 years.

Hi Dezza,

I think you will find that "do hop" is in fact presenting the fare as available from the previously mentioned Skytours.

In fact, the reason I asked about the fare in the first place was because a search on Sky Scanner (very similar to do hop) showed up this same flight.

Cheers,
