I do not remember seeing a bread roll served with dinner in the past couple of months possibly more. On some flights this has been replaced with cheese and crackers whilst on others it is just the meal with a small piece of chocolate.

The flights in question are the SYD-BNE-SYD flights. Anyone else had the same experience?

They have finally exhausted all the 2007 supplied and are awaiting deliver the 2008 baked bread rolls from the storage facility.

They seem to have been removed from short haul routes like BNE/SYD?

They are now being used as emergency flotation devices. You will find it under your seat in Economy.

I thought they were removed because they could be used as a weapon.

BNE-DRW, DRW-BNE was serving bread rolls with breakfast / lunch over the last few weeks.

Maybe eat a bit more in the QP or the J lounge before the flights? Or maybe eat less bread rolls and you are one step closer to being thin? I'd take the later as I'm on a diet.

I don't eat them - not as part of a keep thin regime, but because I don't want to risk needing dental work.

Next you'll be asking what happened to the breadsticks!;)

(no bread roll with my meal (dinner) SYD-MEL last week)

Adelaide - Sydney had one a week ago.

Yes, that will save them 1 cent a passenger. (considering this particular type of roll)

POssibly more given the cost of insurance claims for dental work...

the person whom initally called them bread rolls obviously had a polly's sense of honesty or an extraordinary good poetic license...

:D

Mr!

(note to self, must inform Qantas that the ideal recipe for bread is NOT one of sand and two of cement.....)
