Howdy,
Have an ANZ credit card. Rang up to arrange something on the phone... after doing so, the lass said:
1. Want income protection? No.
2. It takes at LEAST three days for Bpay payments to go through, do you want an ANZ bank account so it will go through instantly? No, I don't... and you are lying -< it doesn't take at LEAST three days.
3. Okay, do you want a limit increase to $xx_x (where xx_x is > $5,000) (from my current $yyyy, where 1,500 < yyyy < 4,000)? No, not at the moment thank you.
So, my musings are:
I wonder, what if I had asked to move to the Gold card, if she reduced the price of the gold card to the basic card (to $95, from $195).... and then taken her up on the credit limit...
I earn nowhere near the Gold minimum earn.... but the minimum credit limit is $5,000... and she offered me over $5,000....
Is upgrading to Gold, without giving income details, the type of thing that happens fairly regularly, or would I still have to go through a credit test, and let them know my income?
Cheers
