Have I been comped gold?

SC reset over night.. As shown above but status is still shown as gold (only earnt 160 last year) and in bold it says 600sc required to retain gold by 28 feb 2014.. But the actual status reassessment date is still 28 feb 2013.

Should I keep my hopes high? Or is my account waiting for someone to review it? (Haven't received a PS card either...)

In the past, I've maintained my higher status for a few days post my renewal date when I have not requalified. I queried it with Qantas and they said that the status usually stays for a few days to take account of any SCs etc that have not posted. I don't want to rain on your parade, but if you'd been comped, I'd suggest you'd have received your new card and a letter by now. Fingers crossed for you that I am wrong, but don't be too dissapointed if it clicks back to Silver over the next few days.

Not always. Last year it took about a week after my assessment date, which like the op is 28th Feb for me to drop from Platinum to comped gold, not sure if it was because I was in the middle of a trip.

This year I was comped gold but it was showing about 2 weeks ago and card received sometime this week (just got back from 1.5 week long trip) I reckon I have been comped gold this year because I am only 22 points short of life time gold. (speaking of which I cannot remember the old status points systems but how on earth did I end up with 13978 points rather than a number divisible by 5?)

Note the OP is still showing the status assesment date as yesterday, which is what I was referring to, around 4 years ago that stayed the same for me for a week, then clicked over to a new year, compd card arrived three weeks later.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but if you'd been comped, I'd suggest you'd have received your new card and a letter by now. Fingers crossed for you that I am wrong, but don't be too dissapointed if it clicks back to Silver over the next few days.

However! Now when i login in mobile site. It comes up with a photo of a Bronze QC Card and Says my Status is QANTAS Club Silver. I have never paid for QP Access so a little confused that they have given it to me!?

Looking in Account Summary shows i have QP Access until end of May! (I have an award booking to LOTFAP in April/May, booked through Dad's WP Account)



Not too fussed if i somehow loose it before the trip as Dad=WP and Mum=SG, so all three of us kids will get access to either lounge.

What are everyones thoughts!?

They are giving you QP access until 31 Mat 2013. That's all.

you get 3 months comp for the QP, and you can extend without paying the joining fee too.

Checking in with the QF website to see the status of the latest grocery shopping, I was surprised to see that my QF status is GOLD. (Yes Feb is the anniversary month) Interestingly there is no line to indicate how to retain GOLD status - but I do need 1400 SC to attain Platinum with a status reassessment date of 28 Feb 2014.

I won't be holding my breath waiting for the QF Gold card, but I would like to get my new AA PLT 1mm card. Pity I'm not near an airport as it would be interesting to see the results of a cheap quickie trip. :mrgreen:

I remember serfty explaining this, as I recall the old tier points system was converted in to SC when the SC system was introduced, creating the weird number of SC. I actually have an odd number of LTSC (1,279)

Yes, I'd consider extending it for peace if mind down the track... unless the goal is to be Gold until you hit LTG from now on

I wonder why they think the feedback might be more positive than my normal comments. :shock: The only thing unusual for the 2012 year was the fact I took five BA code share segments on the SIN-PER route. And of course with changing circumstances I'm uncertain as to how much flying I will be doing with anyone. And the transition to an Ozzie passport :mrgreen:will likely block out a period of two to three months as paperwork wends its way through the system.
