Hi all,

Just wondering how long it generally takes for you to receive your new card?

I am a Plat One member and have been waiting for my card for more than 3 months now. All of my mates who are either Plat One or Plat members received theirs 2-3 months ago.

As a result of not having the Qantas Cash card, I've missed out on benefits for not using it in a recent trips to asia, and looks like I will be missing out on the double points offer which will expire end of Dec 2013.

Don't they ship the new cards to Plat One and Plat members first?

This is so typical of Qantas.

it's funny as my husband's has arrived and we are lowly QFF's. i haven't been sent one yet either. his surname starts with a N and mine with a L. my card number is earlier than his too.
 
For those who missed out on benefits and bonuses as a result of not receiving our cards before 31 Dec 2013, regardless of what QFF levels we belong to, should we all be compensated by Qantas?
 
Have you tried calling them to ask? It may have been lost in the post. Or a myriad of other possibilities! A simple phone call could fix it all... Bashing QF (for something that may well not be their fault) on here is unlikely to garner a result.

Yes I have and I have also emailed them.
They said a package was sent but not sure..hence I am not getting a clear answer at this stage.
I did emailed them prior to submitting the post here so fingers crossed that it does arrive before 31 Dec 2013.

Best of luck then! Certainly sounds bizarre considering WP1 members were (supposed to be) the first to have their new cards sent out!
 
No, but my folks received theirs - and they're NB's who rarely travel. Maybe I'll get mine when my new card is sent out January??

(Who knows how QF think - they certainly don't seem to be able to run a company that makes a profit, so lack of distribution of their CashCard, isn't that surprising. ;) )

Merry Christmas to all :)

I thought I give everyone an update re my adventures trying to secure a new Qantas Cash membership card.

Since my "rant" here, I've emailed Plat One a couple of times which led to a replacement card being rushed out to me.

This was approx 3-4 weeks ago. I then tried to activate my card plus retrieved my PIN.
Activation took two takes - I managed to successfully activate it while on the phone with a Plat One customer contact centre staff (they were very helpful).
However the process of retrieving my PIN took 6 attempts (twice online, and 4 times over the phone), and still no joy.

Apparently, details of my replacement card on the Qantas system was different from what was shown on the physical card (!!).
A customer contact centre finally called my on Monday 23 Dec to inform me that they have sent a replacement card to my replacement card (...).

So, after approx 4-6 months, still no Qantas Cash card.

I'm not sure if this is only happening with me or if others are also experiencing similar problems.

Hence - while I am extremely disappointed with the whole experience, every emails as well as customer contact centre staff who helped me were very friendly and patience.
One told me that they think the problem was caused by their ancient IT system which was used to manage their FF CRM.

I'm hopeful that Santa will take me off the naughty list and that the replacement replacement card will do the trick - will let everyone know.
