HEL spa

Heard from someone who flew on AY through HEL the other day that the spa has permanently closed down. Does anyone else know if this is the case?

I can back this up, I flew through there a few weeks ago and was told it had been closed down.

Sounds like a shame to me. I was planning to transit HEL on my next EUropean trip just to try it out!

My next Non-Schengen departure from HEL is at the end of August, I'll check again then to be sure.

It's a shame that it has now closed, AY are trying very hard to return to profitability. I wonder how much closing draw cards like this helps though? I notice too that they are reducing the HEL SIN services over european winter...

All those old A340s must be costing them a fortune
