Hi,

after looking through the site for a while i thought it would be easier (and more specific) to just ask a new question.

I just recieved a job doing Fly In/Fly Out work. At the moment im doing 2 weeks on 1 week off, but for a while i will be at a different site each shift so i dont actually know where i will be going next, and more importantly what airline that particular site will use to fly me up. I could be using mutliple airlines.

I was wondering if there is a generic frequent flyer program that covers all of the companies or is it just each airline has thier own individual program?

I used qantas on the way up here, but im pretty sure the company also has flights where they sue Sky west etc, so i dont want to buy a qantas one incase in a months time i go to a full time position at a site that uses skywest etc, but on the flip side i used qantas on the way up here and dont want to wait until i get a set site as im missing out on all those miles i am using now. I just signed up to the virgin velocity rewards as it was free so really dont lose anything either way there.

But after looking through the net there are so many programs, tiers, levels, partners etc so any thoughts/comments/questions would be awesome.

Thanks heaps guys :)

Do you have an orange everyday rewards card for woolworths? If yes you can join qantas FF for free. If not, go to woolworths and get one then join for free.
problem solved

Hi sloppyjallopyau,

Welcome to AFF. :D

I assume from your post that you are referring to travel within Australia. Am I correct?

You can join the Qantas FF program vis the Woolworths everyday rewards card and that way get around the $82.50 joining fee.

And don't forget that SkyWest is a Velocity partner, so you can earn points with them as well. :)
