No doubt you can guess from my avatar that I like a good, strong cup of coffee- it gets me through the day (I'm almost at the point of skulling black espressos)!

If you look at some of my posts you can probably guess I have a connection to an international carrier flying out of BNE. I'm also passionate about filling up the biz class cabin. So if you like your airplanes painted yellow, contact me!

:)

Welcome to AFF Cafe Specific!

If Royal Brunei decides to offer business class specials ex-BKK then I am willing to give them a try. Lack of alcohol service would have worried me 8 months ~ago but it is not an issue now....

Welcome to AFF Cafe Specific I'm sure you'll find this site has a wealth of information.

I don't usually fly on Royal Brunei, if I do I'll be sure to let you know!!

If you want to get more people into business class maybe you could look at optiontown.

https://www.optiontown.com/

Air Asia use them and it is Approx $100 one way OOL KUL. MAS also use them but they charge a lot highter, around $500,

I am currently booked on Royal Brunei BNE BKK in J in July, cost $1650. This is a good price. I am also looking at booking my next trip for Oct Nov but notice that the cheapest RB flight I can get is $2200.

People on this forum have reported favourably on optiontown for Air Asia. If your price stays where it is I will certainly look at the Air Asia route.

Thanks for all the replies... I'll be getting back to each of you shortly!

Optiontown is something being looked at. Will PM you soon.

Best regards!

I just had a quick look and this is extremely confusing.

I tried some flights ex-BKK and business class is well over $3,000 and is not really worth it at that sort of price when CX ex-TPE is ~$2,200.

Call me a fool and/or a snob, but I refuse to use a site that is best viewed in IE6.
Snob!

Am I more of a snob then as I refuse, where possible, to use IE anything :?:

Your quite right, if you try and book the flight via the Royal Brunei site it is more expensive than going through a travel agent, ie flight centre.

When I booked the price was $1650 at flight centre but $2600 if I had booked through the Royal Brunei site. Mind you there are conditions on the cheaper flight that I have booked.

Currently if you do a dummy booking at flight centre or expedia.com the cheapest I can get the flight is $2200 but the RB site is giving $3000.

I like doing dummy bookings through expedia.com as it gives you an option to have a look at the seating availability in the first screen.

That is interesting about the CX flight.

If you work for the company and want to be noted as such, you might want to take a look here
There are some reasons why I cannot do this, but I will PM anyone to find out specific dates taht may be required, etc.
Best regards

The Flight Centre near work was advertising business class airfares to BKK ~$1,600 for a while. I am assuming this was Royal Brunei as I never asked. Recently the business class airfars to BKK have increased to ~$2,200.

Cafe Specific, at the risk of making the worst pun in the history of AFF, shouldn't CX be heading your FF list? ;)

Gooday mate,

I'm heading to the UK next week on RBA. Interested in knowing what options exist to get up into business.
