Hi,
I've started with Virgin Frequent Flyer since last November. I also have Qantas FF, but I'm concentrating on VFF.
My wife and I had three different credit cards which were constantly maxed out. About two years ago, I decided to put all of the bills on my wife's ANZ rewards card ($1000 limit) and since our bills added up to around $800 a fortnight, and I was also using the credit card as a debit card. (For any other purchases over the internet, I would put the money in straight away) I discovered that I would not pay any interest. This is how I discovered grace period. We got rid of the other two credit cards through debt consolidation.
Last year we had about 38k of points (First time we got a substantial amount of points), so we got a $100 & $50 Westfield gift vouchers and we were forced to put the rest of the points into Velocity before ANZ expire the points. Hence Virgin is now the main points earner.

I now have discovered that reward gift vouchers are poor returns. I am focusing on getting 138k VFF for three people (414k) to fly to London (one way) with Etihad on business class in about three years from now

In 1991, I flew Olympic Airways to Athens on a 747 and loved it.

In 2001, I flew Olympic Airways to Athens on an Airbus A340 and it wasn't the same as the 747. I remember toilet queues.

In 2008, I flew Emirates, and I discovered economy class.

Anyway this is my story

Cheers
