Hi!

I bought some Lifemiles miles almost a year ago to use with GUM. I was going to use them during the summer time, but by then it no longer worked. I know, I should have got my flight ahead of time, but I didn't know when I could travel.

I bought some more miles to use with SAW. This time I had my date and I was planning my trip, but with the last changes to the program that disappeared as well. :(

I knew there was a way from Europe to Russia stopping in ICN that could have been good, but I would have needed a Russian visa (I'm not Korean but Canadian, which is why I was hoping to use SAW), so I never bothered with that one.

After it was too late, I learned that there was a small Korean airport that was good for some trick, but I don't even know what and since it's over I won't bother.

Now, since I'm located in North Asia and it became much cheaper to go towards Australia and the countries nearby that's what I intend/hope to do... hopefully Lifemiles won't make any other changes before I have a chance to finally to enjoy my miles!

Oh, and of course, if anyone has any hints at what could be nice to/from ICN, don't be shy to PM me, any help is always welcome. ;)

Cheers!

Welcome erik19283, I think you should just bite the bullet and book something 12 months out and then just do it - if that's not enough notice for an employer or time for you to plan maybe deep down you don't actually want to travel?

Who said anything about my employer? I have no problem with that, unless you call my wife my employer, then... that's a totally different story. ;) . . . . . . :(

It wasn't meant negatively - hopefully if you book a nice trip in P or J far enough out everyone involved will find a way to make it. I was trying to say that there is often never a good time when trying to coordinate multiple parties - be it an employer or partner but once a commitment is made it will happen.

No worries! I didn't take it negatively. I just wanted to explain that work was not an issue, but family (obviously) can be. In a few years, when children are older, I guess the situation will be different. In the mean time, unless I'm taking the children with me, then I still have to let go of some opportunities.
