Hello to all you FF's. I have been lurking in your site for some time now. Therefore firstly a BIG thankyou for all the wisdom you have shared. I have put this to good use and initially booked a F ASA one way QF29 Melb to London.:D
Unfortunately I needed to change the date and destination which resulted in me changing this to a F ASA return Melb to Sing outgoing 25th May QF9. still:D
Now I'm looking at buying an economy seat on QF5 Sing to Frankfurt on 25th May and requesting an award point upgrade to J seat. Given that I am a bronze I would think my chances are zero. I have approx 60,000 pts left at moment. Any other bright ideas would be most welcome. Also any info on the seat/class config on QF5 Sing to Frank would be appreciated. Thankyou again.
ps have never flown first or business

This is going to hurt, going from F on presumably an A380 to whY on a very old 747
As I have never had any luck with points upgrades I stopped trying.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks all for the Welcome and hello to Dragonman! Yes Mille that would hurt but unfortunately the F ASA QF9 on 25th is listed as a B747.? is this correct? A380 on return flight. Any ideas for Sing to Frankfurt on 25th May or I'll just have to grin and bear it! DG

Just checked and indeed a747. After flying F to SIN I would contemplate paying for emergency exit row (46 or 58) on the way to FRA as to make the shock not too big.

For whatever reason when I saw your post I thought you used to work for DragonAir, which is a great airline of its own ....

Oh yes, welcome to AFF!
