Hi All

I'm Simsy from Darwin (formally Brisbane).

I've always read this site to get tips and interesting facts and thought why not join.

I used to be an avid Virgin flyer till I started flying Qantas for work. I built up to gold with work but part of the contract was when you left, they kept them (points and account) :(

Have now moved up north and re-started my FF program (and rejoined Qantas Club), so far i'm about half way to gold, from silver in about 6 weeks, which i'm pretty happy with...

Look forward to talking to you all soon!

Cheers

Simsy

Hi Simsy,

I spent weekend in Darwin - loved it!

Drank too much at Oktoberfest!!

Not sure how employer could keep your QFF account as it is a personal thing. I would have refused to give them my PIN

Welcome to AFF :D

How can they do this - that would be in breach of the T&C's of QFF where an account "is open only to individuals":

Welcome to AFF Simsy. Was the points and account reference in regards to a Qantas Gold membership or Virgin Gold? As the others have stated, they're yours and yours alone...

Haha thanks for the welcome folks - seems as though I've started a commotion with my first post!

It was part of the contract, you have to sign them over when you leave. Had a form to sign and everything... Don't worry, i'd love to get them back as much as the next bloke - I won't mention publically who I worked for, but its part of working in this paticular...company.
