Hey there, just joined. Thanks for the help all. I'm just learning about this great community now! About 6 months too late.. Haha. Yes, was A) hoping they just retain me at Plat as ive a long history or B) start again in JAN - I fly to the US on the first or C) do a crazy US jaunt and get the numbers over a week of flying like a mad man

I saw your other post. Since you have been a WP for the last 6 years, QF may comp you a year of WP. If not send them your forward bookings in Jan and plead your case.

Thanks indeed for the welcome. I may drop them a note and see... They have been very good over the years. I've got Virgin match, but love QF 1st lounge too much to be tempted...

Don't get anxious. Firstly I would wait until ~8 weeks from anniversary date to see if the automatic comping of status happens. If this does not happen then send them an email noting future travel plans. There is also another time they do automatic comping of status and that is close to the anniversary date.

I have had 2 comps to Platinum in the past few years at ~8 weeks from anniversary but I have requalified late each time so did not really need the comp.
