I've been a long time lurker here and at flyertalk. I've posted a few things in both forums, but I guess it's time to introduce myself.
I'm a finance manager based in Sydney. I love premium travel (flights and hotels) and especially if they can be done on a discount :)
Most of my miles are with QFF, Virgin/Velocity, US Airways (now AA) and Avianca. In terms of hotels, I try to stick to the Hilton chain where possible.
I'd managed to successfully BRG a number of times with Hilton over a number of different trips (Aust, Romania, Qatar, Poland, etc.).

As the Dividend Miles ends and premium award seats are getting scarce from Australia, I'd love to learn more about strategies to buy cheap premium class fares ex Sydney (or ex Asia) to Europe, which is where I mainly like to go on holidays. Hope to learn a lot from you and I hope I can contribute something in return.

Thanks!

Welcome.

One way is to get to ASIA like HKG then use award points or USA miles from there as premium seats direct out of OZ and return are beyond a joke.

Welcome to AFF vguevara, sounds like you've found your Australian internet home.
