After seeking advice from all you VERY helpful people I have bitten the bullet and 'tried' to book a couple of flights in my pending 'One World Award'.
Mel-Amm (stop)-Tlv-Cmn(stop)'planning on booking 2 flights here, later to get to London' Lon-Mel

QF website gives the following error message

Please review the following items
  • The system is unable to provide the miles cost for your trip (7067 - 2654)
  • We could not find fare for the requested itinerary (5685 UI)
HELP please
(As a newbie am I doing something obviously wrong??) Be most grateful for any advice!

I haven't seen those errors before. Simply phone QF and quote what you're seeing. Qantas agents are very good at waiving fees that would otherwise be charged in these situations.

Thanks for advice. Actually, 'I think's the error may be to do with the search engine I was using (Chrome). Tried Internet Explorer and seemed to work a bit better....

Just call QF. The online engine is rather simple and you've asked for some out of the way routings. They'll have to sort it out manually (yes, it's sad I agree). Phone agent should waive any fees. Good luck with availability!
