Help! IAD to CRW

I am looking for some advise with flights between Washington and Charleston WV.

Not used to travelling internally in the USA.

The last time i was travelling between San Francisco and IAD, i got a small aircraft, no video entertainment for the long haul flight etc. Is this normal in US?

Should i be looking at a specific airline for the above trip to get a better experience? Your seuggestions are welcome.

Please Note

I do understand that it will be a short flight; but i am travelling with a young kid. Also I am a qantas frequent flyer Platinum customer.

If you want to stick to OW partners then American Airlines is your option, if your happy to forgo the points then a LCC such as Southwest or Jetblue may be a option.

Edit: Seems AA only fly to CRW from Chicago or New York -La Guardia

I don't want to have to go to New York and then to charleston (1 Stop). So, i will have to forget about AA and look at other options.

What are the other airlines, any that have good on demand video entertainment?

UA fly a Saab 334 and the sole CO flight is an Embraer 145 - no business in either of these beasties.

The good news is the flight time is a bit over an hour in the ERJ & 1½ hours in the Saab.
