Hi folks, perhaps some savvy members can help me out here. I once saw a video on social media some years ago in which an older fellow (with grey hair, I feel sure) was presenting an informative talk about the ins and outs and positive benefits of using credit cards. He essentially regarded debit cards as useless, instead vouching for credit cards as the way to go. Pretty sure it wasn't a TedEd talk, but the guy was presenting from a stage.
Yes, he spoke about the perks we AFFers converse about (bonus points or cash back e.t.c.) but he also spoke about the way they work in terms of using the bank's money to purchase things.
He also spoke about the credit card companies supporting their customers when they have problems with the seller and cannot get the product they purchased (which happened to me last year when Book Depository went bust). He spoke about the included insurance on many credit cards and probably several other things to boot.
However, I cannot now find this video and I would love to show a friend. Does it ring a bell? Sounds like a rather obscure reference, I know. Let's see if we can find it together....
