Help please on Qantas points booking

I have tried looking through threads and can not find the answer. I am trying to book a points trip, it all comes up and says OK, but then falls over before I can confirm - plus it uses more points than the 132 or 318K for economy or business. what am I doing wrong.

One route was
ADL - CMB
CMB - MLE
MLE - LHR
LHR - DEL
DEL - ADL

This seems to work but falls over,

This one more of an issue

The other via south america
ADL - DEL
DEL - MAD (or anywhere in europe_
MAD - PANAMA
any south america to Barcelona to AMM
AMM - asia (any, ideally philippines)
back to ADL

Have tried so many routes and options from this second group - taken routes from the route map for one world but still not working

If anyone can tell me why points higher and why not working would much appreciate it.

Which airlines are you using? Asking because some airlines are Qantas partners, offers award seats, but are not part of Oneworld; if using them, this would not qualify for the OWA (132k / 318k).

Usually, booking via the website results in the correct points calculation. It's also common for advanced multi-city booking that the website returns an error when getting close to the payment page, at which stage calling Qantas might be needed.
