Hi there all,
I am in need of some help with deciding on what frequent flyer card to get.
I spend around 35k a year on my current card which has no benefits at all.
I want to do trips away to Bali and Vietnam etc and want a card that will help reduce the amount too pay.
I have been trying to read as much as possible but am getting lost as the cards keep changing the rules by the looks of things.
As I travel interstate about 9 times a year and fly predominately with virgin I was thinking of the high flyer velocity card.
I do not pay for my flights as they are company paid and I do not travel much interstate other than for work so my main need is for reducing flights overseas.
I understand that you get the travel insurance with it.
Is it worth paying the $289 annual premium for the card and its benefits?
How do you work out how many points get you a flight??
Any advice with this card would be greatly appreciated or being pointed into the right direction.
Cheers
:D

If u are OK with American express I would recommend them. The best part I have found is point on card to velocity points are credited at 1:1 ratio. again, have a read and compare cards at american express and decide how much you want to pay.

Hi ap,
Amex is no good for me unfortunately not accepted in enough places.
thanks for the advice tho.
