Hi all, booked a reward flight through qantas website with China eastern airline. However under manage my booking, the status shows as "US'. Normally It should show as Confirmed or Pending.

I've just booked a few hours ago and have not received any email with eticket number yet. But this "US' thing had me worried as I Googled up somewhere says this means unable to sell.

Any inputs from anyone to help please?

Are there any sort of advanced passenger or visa details that need to be entered?

Some countries require this before tickets will issue.

Hi there.
Wondering if you had any resolution with this. I've booked some business seats with China Eastern today via Qantas classic reward and its been about 7 hours with nil eticket yet. I just entered my advanced passenger info - did you then get an eticket soon after? Thanks.

No. Rang qantas they looked it up says China Easter is not giving any availability to them. Asked me to contact China Eastern. I questioned why is Qantas showing there is availability and pushed back to them to investigate. She then Tried to reinstate the ticket but still no luck. She had to cancel the booking. And She said if I just leave it it will get auto-cancelled after 7 days if they cannot issue the ticket.

What is you booking status showing? Soes it say confirmed? If it is confirmed then you are fine. Could take a few days for it to be ticketed.

Ok well that's annoying. So I tried to book the flight a week ago when the availability was showing on the classic reward calendar - but it wouldn't let me process the payment. I rang QFF and they said that I wouldn't be able to book it until maybe September - to which I obviously said (same as you) why show these flights if China Eastern wont book it. But when I tried again to book online today they processed my payment and took my points.

The status says "your booking is processing" when I hover over the cancelation button which is greyed out.

Problem is I can see some Cathay Pacific flights on the day I want to go available and if booking with China Eastern is going to be difficult or there's a chance I may not end up with any flights - I'd rather cancel them now and book the Cathay seats. I have already used the complaints form for Qantas regarding them showing reward flights that are ineligible to book.

When Qantas cancelled your flights did they give you all your points back or did they still slug you a cancellation points fee?? Thanks.

Yeah it is really annoying. I was pretty upset when they said I need to contact China Easter to work it out. The contact Center staff was just trying to brush me off. Go to Qff website, manage booking, put in your booking ref and check under "Status", sort of towards the bottom of page. What does is say? Is it showing "processing"? Look it on a laptop or ipad, doesn't always work with mobile view.

And yes they give me full points back because it is not ticketed. Only after ticketing then you can cancel online. Mine was greyed out so had to call to cancel.

Hi - Status actually says confirmed - which is promising. Did yours not say confirmed? But I still don’t have my eticket and my cancel button is still greyed out.

Yeah mine says US. A strange code. Wait for 3 days. I've had it before took 3 days for the e ticket to arrive.
