We're always working to improve the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and we are currently in the process of reviewing our website content and functionality.

To help us improve the member experience, we'd appreciate your input on the current Qantas Frequent Flyer site in the form of a 30 minute face to face research session.

An independent web design research company has been commissioned to help Qantas Frequent Flyer to undertake this confidential survey and, if you would like to participate, they will be in touch to arrange a suitable time and venue for you.

To thank you for your time and opinion, we'd like to offer you 10,000 Frequent Flyer points, which we'll credit to your account on completion of the research.

Please register via the button below before 6 May 2012 if you would like to participate in this research.

Our research company will then contact you using the details we have on file for you in Your Profile to arrange a suitable date and location. Please note that there are limited research places available and participation is on a first-in basis.

We value your opinion greatly, and thank you for your time.

I received it.

Not sure if I'm that interested and it's only 10,000 QFF points for taking part.

We shall see.

Boss

10k points is a bit stingy for what would end up being a several hour long commitment...

It'd be nice if the booking engine allowed people to make more types of changes to their bookings and avoid calling up... (Nothing ****s me more than calling up and being hit with the 'call surcharge' when I've tried to make the change online...)

Amen to that!

Considering it takes 10 x Y SYD-MEL to earn 10,000 points which would take 15 hours and $3000, I think it's not too bad.

My plan is to do in a QF lounge somewhere in Aus.

I would be happy to take a collection of suggestions for improvements posted here to the meeting.

If it's looking like only WP1s are getting it, I would think that a) they are likely to do many of their bookings via a corporate agent or assistant, thus not use the site themselves all that much, and b) WP1s are likely to value half an hour of their time (plus travelling etc time and costs) at more than 10,000 points. But if it can be teed up together with an arrival/departure to be done at the airport that might be ok.

Agreed.

Ask them to guest you into the CL for the occasion :p

I agree with everything you wrote. I certainly leave it to my assistant to handle 90% of my travel arrangements.

I do have a very good understanding of the booking process and the Qantas website though.

I'd be happy to meet with them in the CL, however in my case I could guest them in ;-)

I had a similar thing a couple months ago however it was not regarding the website, rather more their social media integration and much loftier, bigger picture questions. Was actually quite a bit of work involved. Was only a few (dozen or so) of us involved.

Didn't get any points but $250, so depends how much you earn ;) in my case certainly wasn't making a profit! Hopefully it helps them with their longer term measures, hopefully.

From what I've heard the food is better in the F lounge in SYD/MEL so if you had the inclination you'd be better off asking them to guest you in there so you could discuss it over lunch... :P

You are correct, all my bookings are done by my corporate travel agent, but I do use the site quiet regularly for seat selection and award bookings.

Just to throw a spanner in the works I'm only SG and got the same email on Tuesday but only 5,000 points on offer for me... I now feel a little hard done by that others got offered more points for the same time, not so much the 5,000 point difference, just that they must be offering different points to different levels of perceived importance.

For what it's worth most of my travel is done via our corporate travel agent. But I'm familiar enough with the Q website to give some decent feedback (ie when i search for a J flight don't show me flights with Y segments!)

Couldnt agree more, If I do a J search for SYD-CDG don't bother showing me a result with a ! that states that the section between SYD and LHR will be in Y

Will be taking that one to them.

...
$3000? What fares are you on - I rarely pay more than $100 for a MEL/SYD flight on QF ...
