Help with a Status run please

Hi there
I have been amazed at how some of you work out Status runs so quickly and easily.
I am wondering if you can please help me out?
I need 205 SC by 31 March and would like the quickest and cheapest way of getting them. I live in Perth, which makes it a bit tricky.

Perth - Nadi in J for $2400 return, or Per-Bne in Y then a J run to Nadi return for $1800.

Then there's also the LAN run, will only net 200 SC however.

If you really can't make the extra 5 SC on your own then a quick hop to CBR from SYD is probably easiest. That brings it to $1300.

There's probably something cheaper heading up to asia too out of PER, but that's not an area I'm well aware of.

If you can find you way to Brisbane, then you can fly BNE: MELB: NADI for $976 in Business Class which will net you 160 status credits, which works out at $6.10 a pop.

What is the 205SC going to get you; for silver don't bother; for Gold just buy Qantas Club membership, for Platinum yeah do it.

SYD-AKL return on Flights to South America: Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela from USA and Europe - LAN.com for $700 will get you 160SCs

PER-MEL-SYD will get you 30SCs just pick any flights via Melbourne
SYD-PER will get you 20SCs PER-MEL-SYD-PER costs about $600 return for the days I looked at.

Total 210SCs about $1,300

Not so cheap.

Thanks to those people who have replied already.
The status credits will get me Gold. I am a life member Qantas Club and I know its the same benefits but I would like to get the extra points earning and I have seen the different seat offerings with being a Silver when booking with a friend.

I have to go east a couple of times anyway before then so I am looking at if it is possible to make it. PER-ADE-MEL in J will do it but for a cost.

Interesting a Jetflex flight from PER-MEL gets 40 SC as opposed to 20 on QF.
Points earnings are a bit harder when you can do the smaller SYD-MEL type runs.

I reading this with interest and appreciate all the ideas.

I just noticed that SYD to Nadi is on sale for $200. Maybe pick one of those up one way and then book the return on the fiji website in J and pick one of the options via multiple cities. IIRC from another thread these J fares are like 800 fiji dollars.

Then you just gotta get to SYD.

NAN-SYD-MEL-PER available for $752 FJD plus about $200 FJD in tax.

80+40+80 will get you 200 SCs.

Even NAN-SYD-PER is available for $642.00 FJD plus about $200 in FJD in tax.

80+80 SCs not too bad either.

Note that overseas you usually have to pay 3% on the credit card.
