Has anyone received their 2007 Hertz cards yet?

I'm a 5 Star, and my card expired earlier this year. I didn't receive a replacement. The website indicates that I am still a 5 Star (for all it's worth :D)

I've contacted Hertz and requested a replacement card, but curious if others have seen the same.

I got nothing from Hertz either....
I have been 5 * for a while now and have had to ring several times JUST to get basic info..
The first time I got enough rentals to get to 5* I rang the main office number and was told that I would have to wait until next year to get my account upgraded..(It was May).
This was a bit rough, so I asked for a manager who then proceeded to force it through...
I am heading towards PC this year and hope I will not have to go through the same BS.

I have heard that in the US they are not sending out new cards, so I suspect that the same applies in Australia. As long as the status on the website is correct , I wouldn't worry about the plastic

Thanks Dave

As per usual, it's up to forums like this to actually tell members what is going on

IainF your experience is not unique. Hertz will not bump someone up status until the end of the year - unless you whine about it enough. Absolutely Crazy...

I haven't received my card yet but I have not had any problems with getting status recognised.

Tip: Call up Hertz directly ie if hiring from sydney call the hertz desk. I called Perth last month to tell them that the flight was late and they were extremely helpful and as it was my first rental as a 5 * member they didn't have my details and upgraded me, from then on I haven't had any problems and have received not just the next class up but more like 3 classes up.

I received my membership package today - including a new 5 * card with no expiry date.

The blurb basically said that they'll only send me a new card when my status changes.

Hertz never responded to my email. Glad the question was so easy for them to answer

Received my "new" PC card today.

Buggered if I know why (last one was received only 4 months ago)

Just looked at my account and seen that I have hired more than what the 5 * status requires and decided to ring Hertz to see where my card is.

There response was 'yes I have reached the 5 * status' but I won't get a card or be able to use my status until next year. I said to them what's the incentive to keep using Hertz for the rest of the year when there is no way I will get to President Circle status.

They are going to think about it and get back to me via email. Think I might look at taking my business elsewhere.

Any suggestions on what to do here? I like using Hertz for ease and convienance but think there maybe better hire companies that want my business.

Cheers

That is normal procedure for Hertz Australia. If you were based in the US , you would likely be able to get it early, though not too likely in Australia
