I'm looking for some clarity from anyone experienced with renting cars from Hertz in the USA.
What is your usual procedure for claiming any reward?
I opted foolishly to go VFF points for a 14 day SUV hire from LAX.
After not receiving any points after 6 weeks my claim request came back like this....

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Rental Agreement number ########.

Unfortunately, your request could not be processed because:

Transaction does not qualify due to Country of rental

Should you have any concerns or feel this matter needs further review, we ask that you /n/nverify the data previously provided is correct and re-submit your request,or contact us at

[email protected]. Please include your Rental Agreement number, Rental Pickup Date,

Partner, and Frequent Traveler(FT) membership number. Remember to include all digits in your

FT membership number including those that begin with zero.

We appreciate your business and look forward to serving your car rental needs in the future.

So apparently i don't get anything for a 14 day rental in the USA!?

Interesting - I just realised I didn't get mine from last September - will have a go but it will probably be too late - I had a 7 day hire from Vegas

Well according to Velocity it's supposed to be a capped rate of 800 points. After being rejected these points i emailed Hertz to request Hertz points and was given them withing 4 hours. Might be the way forward in future.

Some times you need a university to degree to interpret the terms and conditions.

I have to chase up each Hertz rental that credits to United as it has not posted correctly.
