nice one - this looks like excellent value compared to the biggest competitor GoGet (who I'm sure Hertz are gunning for).

The included kms is also nice, makes it perfect for very short city trips.

They've also done away with the registration fees and monthly fees that were my main barrier previously to keeping a membership.

Agree the no monthly/annual/joining fees is a big advantage over goget.
Still have a very limited number of locations at present, although much more CBD centric than goget who were more targetting inner city residents

Also rates for no-commitment plans are 40% cheaper than goget.
Goget does have a decent daily rate but there are better options if looking for a small car hire.

Very useful if you're staying at the Westin, or the Hilton in Sydney CBD.

Also interesting that it earns Hertz points...

It has some potential, but it would be a lot more useful if it were widened to allow drop offs to different locations. (ie airport - city and vice versa). Also noted this bit about insurance "Will my personal car insurance cover my damage fee?No. When you drive a Hertz On Demand car you'll be covered under our policy. Any other policy will not be valid." I'm assuming this is not referring to the numerous excess insurance policies available and as the advertised max excess is $1500, seems even the most basic policy would cover it.
