Hertz not posting points?

I had two Hertz rentals in mid July, with my VFF membership number put against both of them when the bookings were made.

I have not seen any points posted for the bookings, whereas back when QFF were the partner the points used to post flawlessly.

I've submitted a missing points claim for both rentals, and have heard absolutely nothing back at all (I submitted them missing points claims a month ago).

Has anyone actually had a Hertz rental credit point to VFF successfully?

Anyone have any ideas of who to contact to get my points credited?

I have had 15 rentals with Hertz this year and all have posted with differing delays of up to one month. I did have a problem late last year where my TA was putting in my Velocity number, but Hertz no 1 profile was overriding this with the QF number. It might pay to check your Hertz profile.

Hertz have had IT glitches/issues since they stopped being a QFF partner. It appears that if you previously had your points crediting to QFF and have now switched to Velocity, even if you've deleted your QFF details from your #1 Club Gold profile, they often still default to QFF! If you e-mail the address on the Hertz website, they are very prompt at crediting the points - they usually respond within 1-2 days and points are usually credited a few days later.

I've had 9 rentals this year, and not one has credited to my Virgin Atlantic account, this has reminded me to chase up again, which link did you use to submit missing points?

I didn't think to contact hertz ... I will give that a go.

There's a link on the vff members page

As someone has said previously, go into your profile and delete your QF link (it will still show up, even though Hertz doesn't have that agreement in place anymore).

As the Hertz/QF partnership is no more, you may find the points have just disappeared into cyberspace!

Deleting the QF number wont remove it from the Hertz system (wont hurt to do it mind you), you need to ring them, as it appears at one stage the profile was linked to a record , now that record is referenced for rentals despite what you have in the profile. One of a number of reasons why I rarely rent with hertz now despite being a PC for years.

I removed the QF link from my profile and added VFF as soon as hertz stopped crediting to QF. I guess I'll have to call them when I get back to Australia, by the sound of it.

Thanks for the link, claim submitted and I'll see how I go.

How did you go? I received a response tonight to a request I submitted this afternoon (they appear to processed in the US).

Are you saying they can fix this issue if you call them? If so, thanks for the heads up - I'll do that. At Melbourne Downtown where I usually rent, last time the person I spoke to fixed it up on the spot, without me asking. He was a senior employee (acts as mgr on some days) - they obviously know about the glitch.

Not so great ... I got a reply as well, for what it was worth ... Guess I will have to call them when I get back to Oz, as it's already 11 weeks since the date mentioned in the email and no points have been posted.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate Rental Agreement number xx_x was previously processed for 000800 miles/points/credits in the Virgin Blue program on or around 07/11/2011.
Please allow 4 to 6 weeks from the process date for the credit to appear on your member statement.

That's odd - in my experience, points usually post a few days after you make a request. Admittedly, my response does say allow 4-6 weeks. In the case of Hertz, they've always credited the points. Europcar is another story! I'm still chasing points for a rental 6 months ago! Request submitted through Virgin and Europcar websites, over the phone with Virgin and e-mail to Virgin - still no points!

Well the points finally posted for my two rentals back in June. Great.

And I was pleasantly surprised to see the points post within two weeks of my more recent trip ... until I realised that I had only been credited with 600 points rather than the usual 800 (for a rental outside Australia). Here we go again ...

I am another having trouble getting points from Hertz posted to Velocity.
Another issue I have is that you are meant to get three bonus points when you use your Citibank Visa card.
You would presume Citibank would automatically add these when you have a Hertz transaction.
But on two occasions this has not occurred. I am about to chase this up, but wonder if anyone else has had experience
in this regard.
