Hertz offering a discount for early payment?

I was just comparing Avis and Hertz and for March the gap has widened with the same car being $40 cheaper with Hertz. But Hertz also has a "pay now" option which saved another $20+. As it all goes on the card anyway it's no big deal. I haven't come across this before but it's a nice little saving. I couldn't believe how much more expensive Avis has become. I just had the same car last week (same airport) and it was $40 cheaper.

Thanks markis for your input .It has always worked for me . And if your not 100% sure using hertz.ie then always ring hertz.com.au and get them To price match the lower rate on the other site.

Just checked again and there's no discount for early payment - maybe needs to be three weeks in advance.

Checked with Avis and they were 30% cheaper but I noted they had 400km free and then 0.25c per km which I've not seen before out of TSV. I usually do less than 300km on my visit so it will be okay.

The battle for my dollar goes on!
