Hertz PC - Additional Driver Free?

Hi there,

Is an additional driver free for PC Members in Australia? The website only mentions the US these days - has anyone actually had to pay for this in AU?

I don't know specifically about Hertz PC but I've found that most major car hire companies charge a fee for a second driver. Only one I've encountered that didn't was a small outfit I rented from - Orkney Car Hire in the Orkney Islands.

Even Hertz Gold don't pay the additional driver fee. Don't think we've ever paid it in Australia either.

If I recall correctly, only free if a family member and you are gold.

Hertz did want to charge me for additional driver in SA last year.

Asked when I picked up a car today and was told that Golds and above don't have to pay. Will put this to the test next week.

Follow up, rented a car in QLD with two additional drivers and was not charged as a PC member. Very smooth experience and no mention of any fees.
