Hi all,

I have found the information on this forum particularly relevant to my flying habits for the coming year! It is great to see a community dedicated to answering difficult questions, allowing people new to this game an exciting opportunity to maximize benefits for themselves. So thank you very much and look forward to learning the 'tricks of the trade' and to progressing through this process with your support.

I am currently very fortunate to work for a company that allows me to collect my own FF status credits and points, on flights that they pay for! So the education available on this forum is perfect!

I live in Melbourne and am professionally based in UK and USA.

Coming home in a week, SFO-LAX-BNE-SYD-MEL (long way round to gain a little extra SC and points! And to visit friends also!) Back to SFO two weeks later! Any advice on SFO, LAX, LHR, DXB, MEL and SYD lounges/Airports would be great! I am lucky to have obtained the lounge access for Qantas now and first time using these will be in SFO in a weeks time.

I will fly on the QF9 & 10 (MEL-LHR Return) once a month and QF93 & 94 (MEL-LAX Return) approximately four times this year, plus assorted domestic flights within Australia, USA and Europe. So if anybody is an expert on these legs, your information would be much appreciated! In particular I am trying to request QF flights within destinations around Europe (or maximize QF SC and Points earning), however finding this particularly difficult (possibly since the degradation of British Airways Alliance?)

Once again, many thanks for having me and I look forward to seeing you all in the sky soon!
