Hi folks and thanks to those that have contribute so much knowledge to this resource.

Most of my air travel is for either work or as a volunteer for a global professional association. Both are nonprofits so naturally my world is at the back end of the plane. I've had 3 international trips this year and I will slip up to Silver QFF on the first leg of a trip in Jan. I was Gold about 10 years ago when travelling heaps in a previous role. I have paid to retain Qantas Club ever since.

I am am looking for ways to optimise whatever I can to make the travel more bearable.

I am looking forward to learning and sharing.

Cheers

Welcome to AFF Numbat2, there are plenty of ideas on optimising travel here.

Welcome numbat2, and look forward to hearing about your travels.

Is your paid Qantas Club - referred to as QP (Qantas Pub) on AFF - membership the full price version, or a discounted rate through a club or company scheme? If it is full price you should look at becoming a paid member of AFF as you will access cheaper QP membership rates (along with lots of other benefits)

Full priced. Thanks for the tip. I will have a good look at that as an option so thanks for the tip Steady.

Hi Numbat thanks for your post and welcome to the AFF fold. Steady is right there are many ways of obtaining that QC membership when not travelling in the pointy end. One way is some Credit cards hand out priority pass and QC as part of the deal of being a member ( AMEX)

Good luck hope you find what you are looking for.
