Hi all,
First post here. Have not travelled since pre covid but planning to do a few trips this year.

Have just got into credit card churning and have applied and been approved for 5 (!) credit cards in the past fortnight. Have met the bonus minimum spend requirements for all today. If i get all the bonus points within 41 days, i should get into points club plus. I wonder what my chances are?

Welcome to AFF.

It's very unlikely that all of your points will be awarded in that time period. 3 months after reaching the spend is not uncommon.

That’s a spectacular approval rate! Well done and welcome.

Checked my credit file and it shows a ton of enquiries but no open accounts yet. So I applied for another two this week! One has been approved (Citi prestige with 20k limit). Still waiting on westpac. I have now obtained ~$60k in unsecured credit over 6 cards in the past month. My net salary is not even 6 figures. (Living with parents, no mortgage or dependants)
I guess the banks dont put much weight on the classic red flag of 'many recent credit inquires'.

Welcome @Oppai21 ; looks like you are on a roll :)

Well the posting of points generally depends on the spend criteria and any minimum duration as stipulated by the cards terms n conditions.

As long as you are within the terms and have ticked all the requirements , you should be having all points sooner than later.

You might want to ease off the applications for a while before it begins to affect your credit rating. This from credit site Clearscore where you can check your credit rating.

How this affects your score

If you apply for too many credit products in a short period of time, lenders may view this negatively as it can make you appear overly reliant on credit.
Enquiries stay on your credit report for 5 years, but this will have less of an effect on your credit score over time.
Clearscore shows credit scores and reports from 2 different credit bureaus, illion and Experian.
