Hey all,

Have been reading the forums for a little while and thought it would be about time I say hi.

I'm currently a Bronze QFF member, aiming for Silver by my anniversary at 30th September. I usually fly Jetstar (MEL > OOL) *hush*, as OOL is where my family live and Jetstar flights (w/ +bundle) are slightly cheaper, however, I've just discovered the phrase "Why fly direct, when you connect", which I'll be utilising later in the year via Qantas (MEL>SYD>OOL) to maximise Status Credit earnings at best value. I have many other flights booked between now and September which will get me very close to Silver.

I've been slowly building up QFF points via flights (only within the last 12 months), Optus bill payments and more recently Qantas Cash card, with no redemptions made, I'm now up to 22,000 points. I currently only shop at Coles (Flybuys), but considering transferring main shopping to Woolworths for more points earnings. I don't have a credit card so everything I paid for by my own money.

Next year I'll be embarking on my very first overseas adventure. Firstly in March I'll be going to Wellington, then in May I intend to travel through Europe where I will most likely be looking to this forum for some flight booking assistance, tips and recommendations on where to visit :).

You'll usually see me browsing the threads in the QFF forum and Your Questions forum. From what I've read so far, this community is very knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to assist. I look forward to contributing. :)

Just quickly re "flight booking assistance". This is always readily given here, but you might want to search and browse on "Expert Flyer" (both in this forum and for its own web site) to understand what that web service can do - both for you direct if you use it (or subscribe), or if you are asking for help from others.

Oh, and welcome to AFF :) .

Thanks for the tip. TBQH, I didn't even see the Expert Flyer forum placed near the bottom of the page, I'll be sure to check it out.

Also, thanks for the welcome from both you and TomVexille :)

Get Woolies EDR card and use for * purchases, switch shopping to woolies, pay off balance in full each month = win.

Ohh yea, welcome to AFF. :)
