Hi All,
I hail from Bendigo Central Victoria which now has Qantaslink flights between Bendigo (YBXG) and Sydney (YSSY) - Yay!!!
I'm an avid planespotter and have traveled extensively through East Asia and Europe, along with visiting out-of-the-way locations in Africa and the Pacific. Both on business and for NGO purposes.
Bendigo has an interesting aviation history. From the flight of the first Australian built plane at Mia Mia in July 2010, the tragic crash of an ANA DC-2 in 1943 when it made an emergency landing at the site of the current airfield when it was just a tree-filled paddock, to the spectacular visit of a RAF Harrier Jump Jet in the late 1980s.
Cheers,
BgoFlyer
