Hi from Brisbane

Hi and thanks for having me.
What a fantastic site! I only discovered it after trying to research a trip I'm looking at doing in August, never thought of there being a forum of this type.

So about me, I work FIFO in hospitality and have done so for many years, travelled the world extensively (for pleasure) until 13 years ago when I was invited to attach a heavy weight to my ankle which doesn't allow for as much travel anymore (but whom I love dearly and wouldn't trade for the world), lived and worked OS but now glean my points from a 2 & 1 roster working out of Brisbane. Mainly only travel for leisure now to the US to see the inlaws, stepson & grandkids every 2 years or so and had never really considered FF systems until my points started racking up and thought I'd better see what I can do with them.

So I look forward to hopefully gaining some useful insight into what would be my best options/ways/means of taking our next trip and perhaps offering any info I have gained from my limited time in the FF community, as well as discussing issues and topics with like-minded people and having a laugh or two along the way.

Thanks for the warm welcome anat0l, opinionated and stubborn....at last, somewhere I can come to be myself without having to ask my better half what exactly should my opinion be and just how stubborn should I be in defence of her....ahem....my opinion
And thanks for the invite to the drinks night, unfortunately I'll already be back to the grind come Paddy's day (price you pay for a weeks freedom) but I would like to try for another time as it sounds like a good excuse to meet some new people. Hope you all have an enjoyable evening.

Also a newbie from Brisbane!

Hello, I am also a new Brisbanite user! Been lurking on here for a little while after being directed from a Google search. I've found so many great comments, stories, tips and photos already that I thought I better sign up!

I travel between BNE-SYD most of the time (usually QF) as family are all based there, with the odd OS trip every now and then. I also fly within QLD for work on QantasLink, and once on Jetstar (booked by TA) which I won't repeat for a work trip especially with a tight timeframe!

Looking forward to getting involved. Heading to LAX on Saturday on QF15 for a week and a half (pure pleasure, no work thankfully) so excited for that!!
