Hi

Whilst I have belonged to frequent flyer programs over the past 20 years, I have never really been able to get much advantage from them, and have never yet claimed and upgrade or a flight... or anything for that matter! I was with ANZ for a long time and collecting Qantas FF points, and recently switched to NAB at the advice of my mortgage broker and so got some bonus QFF points for that, but not as many as I would as liked as I was not allowed to sign up for the top level NAB card. I also recently signed up for the Amex Velocty card which I have started using and aim to get the 100K points and flight on that.

This is all very new to me! I am traveling to my cousins wedding next year in July so hope to be able to either get some of the flights free or upgrade at least!

Seems like a very social place!

Thanks Steady, yes it seems there is lots to learn! Thanks for the AFF event invite, I will certainly look into some of the social events. Living here, I will give others a miss, but great choice of location! I feel that there is a lot of potential in knowing how these rewards systems work that I have not fully utilised.
