Qantas Hotels are my beef! I am chasing them for a refund on two hotel rooms I booked following their 24 hour Leap year promotion. The advertised price was $99.00 per night, but when I booked, I was slugged $119.00 per night. I contacted them and received a reply from team "HooRoo" I complied with their requests for more info' then heard no more from them! I contacted Fair Trading and after Two weeks, they phoned me to say they had finally tracked somebody down at Qantas/Hooroo and they wanted to deal with me directly without the third party. (Of course they would!} They told Fair Trading they accepted my claim and would reimburse me. That was Three days ago and they still have not contacted me. Oh. Well I will wait until I hear from Fair Trading again and let them know what Qantas thinks of honouring a verbal agreement with them. The reason I post this is because when I was researching my issue, I found numerous similar complaints with Qantas hotels on this website. I will be sure to let Fair Trading know where to look for more examples of Qantas trickery.
Thanks.

Think it took 3 calls and 3 months to get mine. And that was a straight out cancel of a flexi booking.

.....Qantas trickery......

To be fair, a refund or whatever within three days, although nice, is a tad unrealistic.

But I do love your "Qantas trickery" expression. I am a Qantas lover and am so sick of hearing variations of "fairer and simpler"
