I chanced upon this discussion board when I googled on how to use Qantas Frequent Flyer points. I've stayed quietly in the background until I had a chance to read the various knowledge centre information and some of the forum threads. My husband is the frequent flyer member (now mostly retired from working). I have questions on how to get the most value (ie. fun) from his points on our next trip. We will never be able to accumulate sufficient points in the future to do more than (perhaps) fly domestically or upgrade a paid domestic flight so we intend to use the points he has in order to make this trip as special as possible within the scope of what we wish to do. Obviously this is where I need some suggestions but I will post my query in the QFF thread. Thanks to everyone who has posted in the various forums in the past as all information is of value. Our wishes are simple, we wish to fly from Brisbane to the UK (probably Heathrow) and return but what I don't know is if there are better combinations of flights to get the most bang for our points and this will be the point behind my questions.

Thank you. If I have done it correctly I think I have posted to QFF thread with my question so I'm hoping someone has some suggestions.
