Hi all,

just thought i would say hi and introduce myself. For the past few months i have been stalking the forums without registering to get information for an upcoming trip, but finally took the plunge and joined officially!.

I'm not totally a frequent flyer yet, and have never been overseas, but have recently booked flights to the USA and Canada for December this year, and was hoping to get some tips and info about this on here hopefully.
In April i joined the QFF program as i have the diamond rewards CBA card and i have been clocking up points for a future trip in years to come? - i only have 14,000 points so far, but I'm sure it will improve over time:)

I also have been trying to learn all about planes - the flight numbers and I'm getting familiar with most of the qantas fleet's reg#'s - and often go to sydney airport and watch the planes

Anyway - thats my intro

Thank you

Jackson.

Also, upon stalking your profile I noted you're in 'employment services' - depending on who you work for it would be worth checking if you can access a govt rate for QP membership. Usually much cheaper! :)

Thank you :) the unfortunate part is I don't work directly for the government but we have a government contract .. I work for a non profit organisation .. So it's the end of the line with that one :) but thank you

Welcome aboard auslad88. I am also new here, and over the past week I have found so many opportunities available, to join available areas. Only a new traveler, but the availability of things you can do, is outstanding. Have enjoyable moments here, like me.

Hey thanks for that I'm very much interested in the Qantas club now that I have a few trips with Qantas booked over the new 12 months.. Glad your finding what you need here to :)

Yes, the QC sounds most interesting. Like I live in PQQ (Port Macquarie...Mid North Coast NSW) and naturally we have an early morning flight out of there (about 6.30am), and hopefully we arrive about 7.30am, for our afternoon connection to FJI . Recently, due to our fogs/frost and what not, we have been delayed, and those short hours we have before we board our IT flight, should be spent in relaxation with our fellow passengers. What more relaxating than the QC? Yes, food for thought? (or drinks?)
