Hi all,
I'm new here and keen to hear from more experienced travelers.
Over the last few years I've slowly caught the travel bug as well as becoming a bit of a plane spotter. Not bad considering I was quite fearful of flying 4 years ago!
I travel for fun as unfortunately my work doesn't involve travelling between cities.

If memory serves me correctly your heading to Africa soon.... If so You'll love it!

The African continent is hugely under-rated from a tourism perspective IMHO.

Pick a window seat on the left hand side of the aircraft on QF63.... All being well with visibility your in for a visual feast.

Hi Phil, yes off to South Africa later this year. I'm certainly keen to see Antarctica so I've selected a left-sided seat and I'll be ready with the camera. But first I'm off to Israel (via BKK and HKG) which should also be fascinating.

You have certainly shaken off your fear of flying by the sounds of things!

I have never been to Israel, certainly on my bucket list..... Israel Is supposedly a treasure trove of culture, history & amazing scenery!

If you want any pointers on South Africa shot them this way, it was my first trip to South Africa last year....& certainly many more trips to come.
Many other AFF's on here have plenty to tell on the great African continent..... Please fell free to pick our brains!
