H, I'm a new member, I've traveled a lot over the years, lots of different airlines, a lot of trips to Thailand, if you need a good Dentist then the Bankok Smile clinic is great, I have been there a number of time. A number of Mel-LHR whenever I lived in London for 3 years. My partner lives in Scotland so I'm keen to know of any tricks to get some cheaper flights and or upgrades, and ideas would be really appreciated.
thanks
Jacques

Welcome to AFF jacqsta65!

Is it true that Thai dentists only start to become an option for major dental work where the price goes through the roof in Australia. Simple fillings, teeth cleaning is not that cheap in Thailand if you already have private health insurance cover in Australia.

Hi,
Well for my Aaustralian dentist, I had done no research about their qualifications or where they studied, I just assumed they knew what they were doing, but what I found was all the information about my Thai dentist was on their website, and I chose that company and that dentist, because she had done her Masters at Kings College London, I get better service there and also all their prices are listed on their website, which I find is more helpful than after they have don't the work of you(me), again I would say it comes down to personal choice, I find not only the price better, but the service and transperancy of fees, and I like to combine it as part of my holiday, which still usually works out the same or less than Australia but with 10 days holiday in the tropics, and being from Melbourne, I do like to get out of the cold. but to totally answer your question, I would answer yes, but that was in 2003 now I go there for a break when I can anyway and so it makes sense to see my dentist who I know their work and trust. :)

Oatek, thanks for the hello, yes I'm looking forward to some interesting information, and sharing.
cheers:)
