Long time lurker...What an extremely helpful forum with an abundance of knowledge 
I am in melb.- a leisure traveller, say once a year overseas and a few interstate flights
I have now put on the bucket list to fly J long haul, well also F after reading AFF... but baby steps to start
Thankyou all for providing hours of great entertainment, travel tips/reports and some good laughs- AFF is like a daily dose of the good stuff=whatever takes your fancy!
I am currently planning for may 15-june 12 th MEL-MAN flight looking at options in J -dates are flexible, one pax(please post this in correct forum if need be)
I found thru varies sites: Qatar- $7079, EK- $6949, EM- $7189 , I was hoping to keep within/under 6 K budget for J flight, is that unrealistic?
I also looked at departing SIN-MAN Qatar $4264, could fly JQ starclass MEL-SIN but worry a bit about missing connecting J. Also would I be able to use Qatar
lounge pre/ post those flights? Would like any ideas or feedback from AFF punters- appreciate your time.
