Room: Executive King
Status: HHonors Blue
Cost: ZAR 2207/nt x 7nts (flash sale)
I'll let the pictures do the talking but perfectly adequate hotel. Enthusiastic staff.
Easy check-in.
I believe this hotel used to be part of a middle-eastern chain and as such there is only one licensed area down at the pool deck. Room service will also provide alcohol.
Decent breakfast selection (hot and continental) including "by order" options foc as part of buffet.
Bed comfortable however pillows very soft and used two at a time.
My room didn't have the best view, but those on the other side of the hotel would presumably have a partial view of table top mountain. There's a mini-lounge area on the corner that has a partial view (see pic).
Welcome fruit bowl.
Daily water 750ml foc.
In-house Indian restaurant had nice food - some of which is available at the poolside bar.
Hourly shuttle to V&A Waterfront 9am - 6pm (main "entertainment" precinct) and easy downhill walk into CBD.
Tabletop mountain base of chairlift was a ZAR50-70 taxi ride.
What would I change?
- shuttle should go until 9pm (so you can go to dinner
- selection of pillows (most places offer mix of firm and soft)
So nothing major.
Would happily stay here again.
Pics to come in next post(s).
