Can't find if these are posted anywhere else here, but just in case people are interested:

50 hours 50% OFF time sale | 50???????? | ??????????? (Japan and South Korea)

New Year Deal - Hilton Hotel Deals (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand)

Some people have commented that the "sale rates" may not necessarily be cheaper than run of the mill rates, but a quick glance at least at the Japanese ones seem pretty good compared to normal.

Thanks! ... need to have a quick look at Japan for the FT Do in April.

I have been monitoring the prices for DT and Hilton KL. I have a flexible booking for DT for an upcoming stay, rate is RM370++. I check today for the 50% off sale, flexible booking has gone up from 370++ to 700++, and the sale price is 350++. IMHO its pretty poor form to just up the rate and then offer 50% off that rate. My flexible booking is only Rm20 (or AUD $8) more.

Similarly, a standard room at Hilton Sentral went from 520++ to 1150++ for the same date. Honestly, if it was in Australia I'm pretty darn sure they won't last too long with this kind of behaviour.

The room rates for the Hiltons in Bangkok look OK but Hilton Pattaya rates dont look too flash.

have you checked the c&p rate there?

I stayed there for 4k Hhonors+RM137 (all up) earlier this month and I have a booking at that rate as well in a few weeks.

Yeah. C&P rate unavailable for the day I want. I think we just missed each other on your last stay. When you checked in I just checked out at both hotels!

Tough Japan sale! At least for Tokyo, not many rooms at the given rates going around during some periods.

Don't forget that rates are per person, per night and don't include taxes (approximately 15% or so). I suppose you could get around the "per person" thing via Spouse Stays Free (i.e. if your room mate is your spouse, of course!)

I had a look at the flash sale, but the difficulty is that these Hilton properties aren't in the top three or so of hotels in the areas they are based, so hard to get the enthusiasm up lol. Conrad Tokyo the most tempting, for the 50% suite rate, but in the end I just felt too meh about it.

Aside from the Hilton Brisbane, which is pretty competitive, most Hilton properties just get shadowed by far more interesting hotels.

And the one night I want the Hilton Narita it is not on sale:(.
Oh, well, it is still cheap.

Decided not to bite.

Just checked today and the dates I wanted at Hilton KL are even cheaper than what it was during the sale
(indeed some nights cheaper than DT which is unusual)

I noticed that to, along with sudden reappearance of award nights.

DT usually goes for RM370++ with weekend around RM400++. In contrast, Hilton KL is expensive during week day RM520++ and weekend (Sat-Sun) can be had at around Rm350++.

BTW Markis, I was at the DT for the duration you were there, should have caught up for a drink at the Cellar door (bucket of international beer for RM90++, can't go wrong)!.

Thanks to those posting above just booked two rooms for myself and family for stop over night in KL DT at favourable points plus cash rate. Should combine well with Gold breakfast. Any tips on how to make sure we get connecting rooms?

Gold gets you exec lounge access so that dinner covered (unless you have other plans), you should get an email a few days out asking your arrival details etc, just reply and mention booking details and your requests. The property sucked under former management apparently, since coming under the hilton portfolio it's something of a gem IMHO.

I booked based on cheap price, location near KLCC park, twin towers etc. Was previously considering suite at Parkroyal or two rooms at Traders, Istana or similar. If we like it we'll probably be back, given the reasonable fares available via KUL.
