I decided I needed to do a quick SC run to retain my PS status for another year. I booked a cheap Club Europe fare through my friend at BA flying LCY-MAD on and E190. I had originally wanted to stay at the Hotel Silken Puerta America Madrid, but since we had an early morning departure back to London, we opted for the Hilton Madrid Airport.
When booking, I selected the eUpgrade option and when we arrived we were offered an upgrade, for an additional 18€ a night, to an executive level room which we accepted. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable and despite only being there one night, I could fault them one bit. The staff were very helpful and willing to assist when we asked for directions to get into central Madrid and when we used OLCI to print our boarding passes.
