Was browsing on the Hilton Hhonors website today, in particular the Earning Miles section and notice that Virgin Blue is listed as a partner with an earn of 1,000 velocity points per stay. Nothing on the Velocity website though.

There was mention of Hilton in a Velocity email I received yesterday and it's now on the website...

Velocity Rewards said:
Earn Triple Velocity Points with Hilton Hotels - Velocity newest hotel partner
Earn Triple Velocity Points for Qualifying Stays completed at participating Hilton Hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji between 18 October 2007 and 31 December 2007 - that's 3,000 Velocity Points per stay!

In addition, if you are also a Hilton HHonors member, you can also take advantage of Double Dipping® and as well as earning 3,000 Velocity Points, you will earn triple Hilton HHonors points.

It appears that Velocity members will soon be able to earn Velocity Status Credits (SCs) with partners including Hilton Hotels.

Checkout the page - "Gather Velocity Here" - shows all Velocity Partners

Read the small text at the bottom:
* Indicates those Partners you can earn Status Credits with.
^ Earn Status Credits on these Partners, coming soon in 2007
Interesting eh...

Appears that members will be able to earn SCs with the following Partners:
  • Hilton Hotels
  • Crowne Plaza
  • Holiday Inn
  • Intercontinental
  • Comfort
  • Clarion
  • Quality and
  • Europcar
Dave, can you elaborate on this further?

Cheers
